Care Concepts
In order to draw the most benefit from simulated learning environments one must assess the degree of accuracy or fidelity with which the simulation accurately mimics the real world scenario. In the language of simulation, the term High Fidelity refers to a high level of accuracy or realism when compared to the real thing. It is the higher echelons of fidelity that manufacturers, designers and teachers aspire to in order to provide optimal student learning experiences, which are transferable to real world situations.
The following represents real world concepts found in nursing and other areas of health, which are emulated to a lesser or higher degree in simulation scenarios.
